Tania Bowra

Current Release: Place in the Sun

Outstanding singer-songwriter Tania Bowra first came to attention with the release of her 1989 debut Heaven and Earth (ABC Records/Polygram) which won her an ARIA nomination for Best New Talent. Her long-awaited third album Place in the Sun (availble now on Craving Records) combines soulful grooves and guitar/piano-based pop with sophisticated songcraft and warm intimacy.

Recently suppored Jimmy Webb on his Australian tour September 2005, she has toured Europe and UK including shows at the Edinburgh Festival and has toured with such regarded artists as Paul Brady as well as playing with Eddi REader (Fairground Attraction) and touring with her band. In 1995 Sally Oldfield (sister of Mike) recorded Tania’s ‘Summer in my Hands’ for her album ‘Three Rings’ which went on to sell more than 80,000 copies.

Forthcoming Release: Crazy Love

After signing a production deal with Sydney based label Craving Records, Jackie Bristow set about to record her album Crazy Love with mixer/engineer Helik Hadar (Rufus Wainwright, Madelein Peyroux, Joni Mitchell) and producer/engineer Mark Howard (Tom Waits, Lucinda Williams, Marianne Faithfull, Sheryl Crow). With an incredible lineup of musicians including Australia's finest guitarist Mark Punch (Renee Geyer) along with international luminaries Larry Klein (Joni Mitchell), Larry Goldings (James Taylor), Tim Pierce (Rod Stewart, Tom Petty), Jay Bellarose (Aimee Mann), Zak Rae (Alanis Morissette), Darryl Johnson (Rolling Stones) and more, the result has been a tour de force of stunning new material and a fresh new sound.

Jackie Bristow recently secured the support for legendary producer/guitarist/ composer Daniel Lanois on his recent Australian tour of April 2006 and more recently opened for Madeleine Peyroux in her home country New Zealand, January 2007 and has more recently been doing shows in Austin, Nashville, Los Angeles and Seattle.

Kara Grainger

Forthcoming Release: Grand and Green River

Australian songstress and guitarist Kara Grainger’s take on the Americana sound is a sensual one combining a soulful voice and technically masterful and emotive slide, electric and acoustic guitar work in passionate and insightful originals and co-written songs. It’s showcased in a collection of blues-roots-pop gems, GRAND AND GREEN RIVER. Grainger got started in a working-class suburb of Sydney, playing guitar in high school in several bands, then touring the continent and its music festivals, and recording band CDs and solo EPs.

GRAND AND GREEN RIVER (was recorded at Redstar and Village Studios), Grainger’s debut album with producer-instrumentalist David Kalish (Rickie Lee Jones) and Barrie Maguire (Amos Lee) features great musicians such as organist Jeff Young (Jackson Browne, Julia Fordham), pianist Joel Guzman (Los Super Seven), bass player Reggie McBride (Stevie Wonder, John Lee Hooker) and drummer Richie Hayward (Little Feat). Also on the album is a duet with Blue Note singer Amos Lee, “On My Way.”

Kara is showcasing at the 2007 Austin City Limits festival held mid September, and songs from Kara's album have also been included on a highlighted program called "Contemporary Grind" which airs into over 3000 Starbucks stores across the USA.
